Brain Power! Grades 6–9

A series of six modules takes students through a step-by-step exploration of scientific processes and how to use these processes to learn about the brain, the nervous system, and the effects of drugs on the nervous system and body. Each module includes a lesson plan featuring resources, an introduction to the module, learning objectives, materials needed, any preparation the teacher must do before teaching the module, step-by-step procedures on how to complete the investigation, and discussion questions. Related handouts include activities, worksheets, trading cards, magazines, and posters. This series is part of the larger Brain Power! Challenge Program, which includes three additional modules: Grades K-1, Grades 2-3, and Grades 4-5.
