How popular is vaping and what is actually being vaped?

Nearly two in five 12th graders report past year use of some kind of vaping device, raising concerns about the impact on brain health and potential for addiction. What they put in the device, however, ranges from nicotine, to marijuana or hash oil, to “just flavoring.” When asked what they thought they were vaping in the past year, more than 25 percent of 12th grade vapers said “just flavoring,” 30 percent said “nicotine,” and 13 percent said “marijuana” or “hash oil”.
