How to Use Our Website
NIDA for Teens is organized to offer students a range of educational experiences as they learn facts about drugs and neuroscience, and to support educators and parents as they facilitate student learning.
- For Teens. Drug Facts, Drugs & Health Blog, Interactives & Videos, PEERx, Have a drug problem-need help?—include many highly engaging multimedia activities that cover the basics of drug use as well as more sophisticated neuroscience topics. These sections are designed for students to explore independently.
- For Educators. The Educators pages provide teaching guides on how to facilitate students’ use of our interactive tools and other online materials, while also providing additional in-classroom activities, such as the Mind Over Matter and Heads Up Real News About Drugs & Your Body series. The Educators pages also feature additional classroom activities organized by drug topic, a statistics and infographics page, resources to help you keep updated on the science, as well as links to our National Drug Facts Week pages and links for ordering free materials.
- For Parents. Our Parents pages provide links to resources for caregivers of teens. We also encourage parents to visit the Educators pages for information and activities that can be used at home in addition to in the classroom.
